BLAME a BLACK MAN.........An Amerikkkan Tradition
In light of the most recent 'blame game' I thought it would be appropriate to present some evidence that 'blaming a black man' is nothing new. Many of the 'great atrocities' were initially blamed on a black man FIRST.
A Black Man sits in London, as I type this, blamed for the recent 'terrorist' bombings.
Top FIFTEEN white Crimes Blamed on Blacks (& non-whites)
The current international attention to the case of the missing American white girl in the resort island of Aruba (to the exclusion of the 37,000 other yearly missing persons) provides a classic study in racist scapegoating. The incident merited top story status only when the perpetrators were believed to be two ferocious Black bucks whose handcuffed images were worth a week of news fodder.
When it became clear that the murderer was likely a preppie teen-aged white boy from a prominent Dutch family, the American media dropped the story from their headlines just as quickly and quietly as the Black suspects were released.
One of the most successful and central tenets of white supremacy is its insistence on the natural depravity of all non-whites. As long as the history of the caucasian has been recorded (and invented), whites have sought to justify their racism by pinning their debased acts upon the innocent Black man. Even the Bible has been disgraced by an absurd but profoundly influential concoction in the form of the so-called "Curse of Ham."
Ancient rabbis reinterpreted the story of Noah in order to claim the natural inferiority of the entire Black race. Slavery, Jim Crow, and all their peculiar forms of violent oppression descended from this hateful Jewish heritage. Later, celebrated acts like the Boston Tea Party found cowardly whites disguising themselves as Indians to vandalize a British ship and its cargo of tea--all to make the British authorities believe that Indians had done the crime.
This was a strikingly common, destructive, and successful anti-Indian practice of the time. Black "crimes" -- often against the presumed chastity and innocence of white womanhood -- were the stated grounds for thousands of lynchings, where the actual criminals were white people. And as with the on-going Aruba case, this white racial scapegoating persists today, unabated by standards of common human decency.
There are many, many more, but these fifteen cases are representative of the thousands more:
1) "Scottsboro Boys" -- In 1931, two young white women alleged that they had been assaulted and raped by nine "Negro boys." After swift "legal" (pre-lynching) procedures, eight of the Blacks were sentenced to death. Eventually, the women recanted their story, though it did not result in freedom for the young Black men.

2) Oklahoma City Bombing -- The terrorist bombing was first blamed on "the Nation of Islam." Both NBC's anchor Tom Brokaw and ABC's Peter Jennings broadcast this false story to the world, endangering the lives of Blacks and Muslims all over the nation. The actual terrorists were white men from middle America with U.S. military backgrounds.
Terrance (Terry) Yeakey was a courageous young black Oklahoma City police officer who was on duty near the Murrah Building the morning of that building's bombing. Officer Yeakey entered the bombed out Murrah building and saw things that apparently caused him to be murdered.

3) John F. Kennedy Assassination -- The first reports from Dallas on October 22, 1963, included the ludicrous report that "Black Muslims" were seen "running from the scene." The government concluded that a white man murdered the president. None of the hundreds of conspiracy theories implicates a Black man.
4) Riot of 1908 -- In Springfield, Illinois, a white woman, falsely accused "a black fiend" of raping her. Local whites formed a mob, killed two Blacks chosen randomly, then burned and pillaged the local Black community. Blacks fled to avoid a mass lynching. The woman later admitted that she lied about the rape to cover up an extramarital affair. Often, whites, seeking to take Indian- or Black-owned land (or to destroy their businesses) would simply claim that one of their precious white vaginas had been invaded by a Black male, justifying by "retribution" the snatching of ANY Black lives and/or property. This, despite the overwhelming proof that the entire Black race had been lightened in skin color by the mass serial rape of African women by white American savages.
The people of Springfield were led by the press to believe that the crime was a thwarted sexual assault attempt. The public was outraged by the ugliness of the crime. Before Clergy Ballard died he managed to identify the assailant as a Joe James, a local black man with a long police record of minor criminal offenses. He was later caught by a band of angry whites and beaten unconscious. The police rescued James from the crowd and carted him off to jail for murder and attempted rape.

5) 9/11 and the U.S.-led War Against Islam -- Amazingly, 19 "Arab Muslims" have been charged with a crime for which there are many, many more questions than answers. Among the most important: Why was the hole in the Pentagon only 16-feet wide despite the fact that a 757 has a wingspan of 125 feet? And why was there absolutely no airplane wreckage at the Pentagon--none at all? What actually crashed into the Pentagon, if not a plane, and who launched it? This is pure fairy tale foolishness. All whites benefited from slavery and NO WHITES cared to see Blacks as equal members of American society--not even ol' Lincoln himself. The primary profiteers of slavery were the Northern merchants and their bankers--not the Southern plantation owners, who, in the scope of things, were minor functionaries. All of the rich plantation produce--cotton, sugar, tobacco, etc.--was funneled through northern ports, where huge profits were skimmed before export to world markets. White Southerners resented their economic subservience and started the war in 1861 to cut the North out of the equation. Northerners fought back to save this lucrative money flow--NOT TO END SLAVERY! Legal slavery became the target only when it was deemed necessary to undermine the Southern strength--not to give Blacks any part of the benefits of American citizenship. Upon victory, northerners immediately plunged Blacks into debt peonage and Jim Crow discrimination for the next hundred years to maintain Blacks as de facto slave laborers. Blacks fell even deeper into poverty and ignorance.
7) Central Park Jogger -- A New York "trial" in 1989, in which five Black and Latino teens were convicted of assaulting and raping a white woman, introducing the term "wilding" into the racist caucasian lexicon. A non-Black serial rapist admitted his guilt in the crime, which was confirmed by DNA testing. He also claimed that he never met the five victims of white "justice."

8) Charles Stuart -- On the night of October 23, 1989, Charles Stuart shot his seven months pregnant wife in the head, and then shot himself in the abdomen. Stuart told the police that the murderer was a Black man, sparking a police round-up of hundreds of Black men for questioning. The Black community was outraged. Charles Stuart picked a Black man out of a lineup, who was subsequently arrested for the crime. Stuart's story unraveled and he committed suicide by jumping off a bridge.
9) George Washington University Hoax -- In 1990, a female student at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., falsely stated that a white woman had been raped at knife point by two Black men with "particularly bad body odor." The story exploded across campus and was a call to action for school officials, campus activists, and the school's rape crisis center. The day following the school newspaper's publication of her account, the press was informed that the story was a fabrication. Miriam Kashani, the student who was the newspaper's main source for the "rape" story, held a press conference and stated that she "had hoped the story, as reported, would highlight the problems of safety for women..."
10) Jesse Anderson Hoax -- In April 1992, Jesse Anderson, a white man, told the police that while leaving a suburban Milwaukee restaurant he and his wife were attacked by two Black men. According to Anderson, the men stabbed him and his wife. His wife was stabbed multiple times in the face, head, and upper body. She died following the attack. After a five-day search for the fictional Black criminals, Anderson was arrested and charged with his wife's murder. Two factors led the police to focus their investigation on Anderson: lab results from blood samples, and information that Anderson had called his wife's insurance company one month prior to her murder to determine whether her $250,000 policy was in effect. Anderson was subsequently convicted of first-degree intentional homicide.
11) Susan Smith Hoax -- In 1994, a South Carolina white woman named Susan Smith claimed a "Black male in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing a plaid shirt, jeans, and a toboggan-type hat" had commandeered her car and kidnapped her two children. A composite of her description was published in newspapers worldwide. Smith appeared on television and tearfully pled for her children's lives, telling them "your Momma loves you.Be strong." The pastor of Smith's church said in reference to the Black suspect, "There are some people that would like to see this man's brains bashed in." Nine days later Smith confessed to killing her own children, 14-month-old Alex and 3-year-old Michael.

12) Robert Harris Hoax -- In January 1996, Robert Harris claimed that he and his fiancée, Teresa McLeod, had been shot and robbed on a quiet Baltimore, Maryland, street. Harris said the assailant was an armed Black man wearing a camouflage jacket and black and white pants. Harris was shot once and McLeod was shot several times. McLeod died at the scene. Within two days of the murder, Harris confessed to his involvement: He had hired a hit man to rob and kill his fiancée. The alleged motive was Harris' mistaken belief that he was the beneficiary of McLeod's $250,000 life insurance policy.
13) Kobe Bryant Hoax -- In 2003, a Jewish white woman named Katelyn Faber accused Kobe Bryant, a Black basketball superstar, of "rape" in a Denver hotel. The 19-year-old gold-digger told police that Bryant sexually assaulted her, her claim apparently enough to warrant charges of "felony sexual assault." Kobe's accuser, it turns out, had sex with at least one white male prior to her encounter with Bryant and had the semen of other men on her undergarments. Other stories of sexual deviance surfaced about the woman, who then refuses to testify. Prosecution drops the criminal case.

14) "Runaway Bride" -- Jennifer Wilbanks tried to cover up the reason for running away from her April 2005 wedding by concocting a story that a Latino man and a white woman kidnapped her. When asked in a June 2005 interview how she came up with her fabricated story, Wilbanks replied: "Maybe I watched too many cops and robbers movies." Book publisher HarperCollins will pay her a reported $250,000 for her story.

15) Joseph Jett-- Wall Street's most successful Black trader, was accused in 1994 by his firm, Kidder Peabody, of stealing millions and bankrupting the company. Jett, a graduate of MIT and Harvard Business School, endured attempts by Kidder and parent company General Electric to pin the blame on him. After an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission, he was sanctioned for record-keeping violations and fined $200,000 and ordered to pay back about $8 million in profits despite the fact that the very trades he was doing are routine business on Wall Street now.

There is also an after-the-fact inversion of the "scapegoat-the-niggers" motif common in white American (white) culture. This places an often-willing negro in close proximity to a monumental white crime, intending to give the impression that Blacks generally share in the blame. When thousands of overwhelmingly white Catholic priests were found to be molesting tens of thousands of children entrusted to their care, the "church" produced one of the rarest of all sights--a Black priest--to be the "voice of the church."
Wilton D. Gregory was selected to be the first Black president of the U.S. bishops just in time to assure that the flood of reports of priest sexual child molestation was accompanied by the face, voice or quote of a Black man, effectively tying a Black face to the whitest of all churches and the most despicable of all crimes. Ten times "not guilty" Michael Jackson is yet the face of pedophilia--despite the existence of a cult headquartered in Rome apparently set up to perpetuate this perversion.
Similarly, Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice have been the negro faces on the most aggressively violent and racist foreign policies in the history of the white race. Asian Lance Ito, the OJ trial judge, is the face of incompetent jurists; Johnny Cochrane is the epitome of slickster lawyers; Kobe is the personification of Black male deviance; rapper MC Hammer is the paragon of idiotic financial mismanagement, and on and on. Whites in conversation will string these names together, despite the fact that white descendants of Europeans have long ago shattered all records and limits in these categories.
Whites will not be changing this behavior anytime soon. It is up to Blacks to ensure that any allegation of Black misbehavior is immediately rejected and rebuffed pending an investigation by a trusted Black institution which can issue their findings to a truth- and justice-starved Black public.

GHOST DANCE
The Ghost dance replaced the Buffalo dance when the buffalo disappeared from the plains. It's practice swept across the west fanned by the desperation of a proud people destroyed by the humiliation of welfare. It culminated in the tragedy of Wounded Knee. In the belief that the dance would help to bring about the return of the buffalo, their ancestors and their way of life, they danced until they dropped unconscious to the ground.
By the 1880's the U.S. government had managed to confine almost all of the Indians on reservations, usually on land so poor that the white man could conceive of no use for it themselves. The rations and supplies that had been guaranteed them by the treaties were of poor quality, if they arrived at all. Graft and corruption were rampant in the Indian Bureau. In an attempt to stem this problem, a move was made to recruit Quakers to take the positions as Indian agents, however not nearly enough Quakers responded to the call for volunteers.
This call, however, opened the door to other denominations setting up shop on the reservations. An attempt was made to convert the Indians to Christianity with mixed results.
However, by 1890 conditions were so bad on the reservations, nationwide, with starvation conditions existing in many places, that the situation was ripe for a major movement to rise among the Indians. This movement found its origin in a Paiute Indian named Wovoka, who announced that he was the messiah come to earth to prepare the Indians for their salvation. Representatives from tribes all over the nation came to Nevada to meet with Wovoka and learn to dance the Ghost Dance and to sing Ghost Dance songs.

The Ghost Dance was an attempt of a group of North American Indian tribes to further separate themselves from the white man and the religious doctrines they were forcing upon the tribal peoples. Among the Sioux and Arapaho, the Ghost Dance was one of the central rituals of a new religious movement that focused on the restoration of the past, as opposed to a salvation in a new future. The movement was active within limited tribes and mirrored other attempts by previous Indians to escape the civilization of the white man.
The earlier movements included the Good Message of the Iroquois and the Dreamers of the Columbia River tribes. All of these movements had similar features including a rejection of the white man’s civilization, especially alcohol, weapons and technology. In addition, the movements preached unity among tribes, even those that were once enemies and a revival of Indian customs that were threatened by the civilization of European peoples.
8.5 Wovoka (seated), the Paiute medicine man and mystic whose visions of a world without white men, renewed by the spirits of the dead, inspired the late 1880's Ghost Dance movement among western tribes.
The despair and nostalgia associated with the Ghost Dance reflects that period from which the movement evolved. Plains tribes faced losing their freedom and being overtaken of their homes, their beliefs and their existence. The Ghost Dance was a resurrection of the dead, a bringing back of the customs and way of life that the Indians were trying to hold onto.
The prophet who began the movement of the Ghost Dance was Wovoka, a member of the Paiute Tribe. He was descended of a family of prophets and Shamans. Known as a medicine man, it was said that during an eclipse of the sun and while suffering from a high fever, he had a vision which inspired the development of the movement known as the Ghost Dance.
The vision embodied the beliefs that inspired the followers of the movement including that the white man would disappear from the Earth after a natural catastrophe and that the Indian dead would return bringing with them the old way of life that would then last forever.
The first dance was held by Wovoka around 1889. Word spread quickly and the Ghost Dance was accepted by the Utes, Bannocks and Shoshone tribes. Eventually, the Plains tribes also adopted the Ghost Dance movement and the peaceful message of hope was spreading and uplifting many Indians. While adapting the movement, many tribes added specific customs and rituals to the Dance that reflected their tribes individuality.
The Sioux added two specific elements including the use of hypnosis to bring about trances and aid in the communication with the dead, and a ghost shirt. Made of buckskin or cloth, the shirt was said to make the wearer immune to bullets, a weapon of death known initially only to the white man.
A famous Sioux warrior, Sitting Bull, adopted the Ghost Dance into his way of life. He was a respected leader, medicine man and warrior. His following of this movement alarmed the military and Indian Agencies. In 1890, just a few months after presiding at his first Ghost Dance, Sitting Bull was killed. His followers fled and joined the band of Kicking Bear, one of the first to practice with Wovoka.
Donning their ghost shirts and with their beliefs firm in their hearts, the followers of the Ghost Dance were rounded up at Wounded Knee creek and killed while resisting arrest. Among those killed were women and children wearing their ghost shirts, which did not stop the bullets of the Indian Agencies or the Military.

The Ghost Dance continued to be danced in more southern tribes, but the end of the movement really came with the deaths at Wounded Knee. The hopes of the Indians also ended at that massacre.
The Wounded Knee Massacre
White officials became alarmed at the religious fervor and activism and in December 1890 banned the Ghost Dance on Lakota reservations. When the rites continued, officials called in troops to Pine Ridge and Rosebud reservations in South Dakota. The military, led by veteran General Nelson Miles, geared itself for another campaign.

The presence of the troops exacerbated the situation. Short Bull and Kicking Bear led their followers to the northwest corner of the Pine Ridge reservation, to a sheltered escarpment known as the Stronghold. The dancers sent word to Sitting Bull of the Hunkpapas to join them. Before he could set out from the Standing Rock reservation in North Dakota, however, he was arrested by Indian police. A scuffle ensued in which Sitting Bull and seven of his warriors were slain. Six of the policemen were killed.

AFRICA activists who have been busy pressing the World's richest nations for more aid, debt relief, and fairer trade, are concerned that yesterday's bomb attacks in London may have taken world attention away from the G8 summit meeting and the continent's plight.
The summit, which had dominated global headlines for the last few days, was quickly wiped off by news of the explosions in London, which have been claimed by terrorists."It is a huge distraction to the summit," said Action Aid Director (Asia) John Samuel.
"To that extent, it is an affront on Africans, but also the citizens of the world who have spent the last six months (preparing to be heard at this summit). All this has been disrupted by one single act of terrorism. It is not only challenging the G8, but all issues of poverty."
Even those Africa activists who said it was too early to tell the full scale of the consequences could not hide the anxiety over the possibility that the London attacks would deny the continent the needed attention.
"It is difficult to say what is going to happen. None of us can tell but, essentially, if Blair has left this afternoon for London, he could return and the whole agenda is different," said Barbara Kwateng, the Brussels-based Media Chair of the Global Call for Action against Poverty (GCAP). "We are just here, trying to find out the likely effect."
The blasts disrupted efforts by anti-poverty musicians, Bob Geldof and Bono of U2 who spent Wednesday in a final push to bring back Africa to the agenda after the euphoria of the Olympics seemed to be stealing the show.

The federal government took control of Detroit's public housing agency Thursday after decades of frustration with its money mismanagement, insubordinate employees and lax leadership that left thousands of Detroiters living in crumbling, rat-infested buildings.
For the poor residents served by the Detroit Housing Commission, such a takeover could be what is needed to provide safe and affordable housing. For years, residents have complained of broken elevators, busted plumbing, rodents and other deplorable conditions -- even after federal money was poured into renovating the buildings.
Only weeks before the city's mayoral primary on Aug. 2, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick attempted to put a positive spin on the takeover by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In an announcement Thursday, he said he looked forward to HUD getting the beleaguered department back on track.
But some city officials said Detroit's loss of control of a vital city department points to the mayor's failure to improve public housing. Detroit City Council members said they had no idea a takeover was in the works. They found out about it Thursday during their daily session.
In light of recent ruling on Eminent Domain by the Supreme Court none of this is surprising.
Considering the 'land grab' that's been going on in Detroit, it's even less surprising.

DETROIT - In the most organized crackdown to date on vacant and dilapidated buildings, city leaders have compiled a list of 141 structures in Detroit that need to be demolished, renovated or cleaned up in time for the 2006 Super Bowl at Ford Field.
The Greater Downtown Partnership and the Detroit Economic Growth Corp. worked with the city of Detroit over the past year to identify the city's worst eyesores, who owns the buildings and the proposed remedy.
MADISON LENOX HOTEL: The building is one of Mike Ilitch's vacant structures and will be demolished or renovated.
LINDELL AC and 350 MICHIGAN: The adjacent buildings will be replaced with a new transit center.
STATLER HILTON: The hotel, abandoned for 20 years, will be razed later this year and replaced with housing.
JOY FASHION: The building, adjacent to Hughes & Hatcher, will be razed for a parking garage.
C.C. BAR: The former watering hole on Cass will either be demolished or renovated.
OPERA HOUSE GARAGE: The parking garage will be razed for a new parking deck and office building.
SCHICK DOLLAR DRY CLEANERS: It hasn't been determined whether the former cleaners will be razed or renovated.
RESTAURANT: The restaurant at 2114 Cass, adjacent to the former C.C. Bar, will either be razed or renovated.

This is a ploy..........no city office has convinced me that they care about the well being of the children of Detroit.....'The City' sat by and watched the Burnley administration bankrupt the Detroit Public School system.
The house at 2900 Pingree could pass for the Hollywood set of a horror movie. Profane graffiti and gang symbols mar the siding and wind rushes through shattered windows. The roof sags and the battered front door hangs on a hinge. Strewn inside the vacant home is detritus common to Detroit's thousands of abandoned buildings: heaps of soggy clothing, condoms, empty bottles of cheap vodka. At the entrance lies a cat's skeletal remains. The rooms reek of urine and decay.
Even after vacant homes played a role in at least three of 10 rapes of schoolgirls last fall, the pace of tearing down abandoned structures -- at a cost to the city of about $7,100 each -- has done little to shrink the city's swollen inventory of empty buildings near schools. Detroit razes five buildings a day, according to city documents. But a survey released in July counted roughly the same number of vacant structures in Detroit as two years ago, or about 12,000.

DETROIT - In the most organized crackdown to date on vacant and dilapidated buildings, city leaders have compiled a list of 141 structures in Detroit that need to be demolished, renovated or cleaned up in time for the 2006 Super Bowl at Ford Field.
The Greater Downtown Partnership and the Detroit Economic Growth Corp. worked with the city of Detroit over the past year to identify the city's worst eyesores, who owns the buildings and the proposed remedy.
MADISON LENOX HOTEL: The building is one of Mike Ilitch's vacant structures and will be demolished or renovated.
LINDELL AC and 350 MICHIGAN: The adjacent buildings will be replaced with a new transit center.
STATLER HILTON: The hotel, abandoned for 20 years, will be razed later this year and replaced with housing.
JOY FASHION: The building, adjacent to Hughes & Hatcher, will be razed for a parking garage.
C.C. BAR: The former watering hole on Cass will either be demolished or renovated.
OPERA HOUSE GARAGE: The parking garage will be razed for a new parking deck and office building.
SCHICK DOLLAR DRY CLEANERS: It hasn't been determined whether the former cleaners will be razed or renovated.
RESTAURANT: The restaurant at 2114 Cass, adjacent to the former C.C. Bar, will either be razed or renovated.

This is a ploy..........no city office has convinced me that they care about the well being of the children of Detroit.....'The City' sat by and watched the Burnley administration bankrupt the Detroit Public School system.
The house at 2900 Pingree could pass for the Hollywood set of a horror movie. Profane graffiti and gang symbols mar the siding and wind rushes through shattered windows. The roof sags and the battered front door hangs on a hinge. Strewn inside the vacant home is detritus common to Detroit's thousands of abandoned buildings: heaps of soggy clothing, condoms, empty bottles of cheap vodka. At the entrance lies a cat's skeletal remains. The rooms reek of urine and decay.
Even after vacant homes played a role in at least three of 10 rapes of schoolgirls last fall, the pace of tearing down abandoned structures -- at a cost to the city of about $7,100 each -- has done little to shrink the city's swollen inventory of empty buildings near schools. Detroit razes five buildings a day, according to city documents. But a survey released in July counted roughly the same number of vacant structures in Detroit as two years ago, or about 12,000.

Who is Janice Rogers Brown?
Well, we know by now that Sandra Day O'Connor said enough is enough and retired from the Supreme Court.
And we should know that Clarence was appointed to replace Justice Marshall (in skin color only).
It's now being suggested that a woman will be selected to replace Justice O'Connor.
The problem however, is that, not just any ole woman is being considered. Some are actually referring to her as another Clarence Thomas.

The 5-4 ruling represented a defeat for some Connecticut residents whose homes are slated for destruction to make room for an office complex. They argued that cities have no right to take their land except for projects with a clear public use, such as roads or schools, or to revitalize blighted areas.
At issue was the scope of the Fifth Amendment, which allows governments to take private property through eminent domain if the land is for "public use."
"Any property may now be taken for the benefit of another private party, but the fallout from this decision will not be random," O'Connor wrote. "The beneficiaries are likely to be those citizens with disproportionate influence and power in the political process, including large corporations and development firms."

This is not the first time that a group of well-connected entrepreneurs has persuaded a municipality to seize private property in order to facilitate their planned development project. It happened in Arlington -- Arlington, Texas, that is, and one of the entrepreneurs, albeit a small bore one, was our nominal president, G.W. Bush, at the time a failed, would-be oil man, but one with a magic -- in Texas anyway -- last name.
Kevin Phillips, a long-time Republican strategist turned apostate, describes the deal in his book, American Dynasty.
"In 1988, George W. also began angling for a role in the acquisition of the Texas Rangers baseball team, which was being sold by oil man Eddie Chiles, an old friend of his father's. The deal did not go through easily, despite Bush's love of the sport, but it finally concluded in 1989 on three pivots of cronyism. The first was the help in arranging meetings and financing given to Bush by baseball commissioner Peter Ueberroth, a family friend. Number two was the investment participation of Texas billionaire Richard Rainwater, a major Reagan-Bush contributor.
"Last but not least was the arrangement by which the city of Arlington agreed to finance a new $191 million stadium for the Rangers with a bond issue paid for by a small sales tax increase. The stadium was to be deeded over to the baseball consortium in 12 years, after the Rangers group had paid $60 million in annual payments of $5 million.

Do you get it now, middle-class America? Do you now understand what was done to the Indians? Do you now understand what is now being done to you? Do you understand, also, what else the corporate interests will be willing to do to Americans, if need be? Do you understand what the policy is going to become in future years? Do you understand that the color of your skin may not protect you any longer?
Do not think you will move south or west to a better place, where you can be free and live in your traditional hard-working American ways. They will follow you wherever you go. Wanting what you’ve got, for themselves and the Manifest Destiny of Wall Street.
It gives a new, fresh, in-your-face perspective on how Indian removal happened over an entire continent. It happened gradually. The government looked the other way while tacitly allowing land speculators to keep up the pressure on the local (Indian) populations as they decided on which rich pickings they wanted. The equivalent of this Supreme Court decision, where the judiciary has chosen to look the other way.
Every year, every decade, another band or tribe was nudged off. Other bands or tribes either did not notice, or never thought it would happen to them.
And those among the whites who noticed it did not care; after all, it was for the common good of the Manifest Destiny. Those Indians weren’t using the land properly anyway, the way mankind should be subduing the land! The land would infinitely increase in value and utility for the common good if only the whites could get their hands on it. Oh, and the Indians would benefit too! Must… go away and move over there.

In Lodi, N.J., hundreds of trailer park residents may soon be squatters if the city decides their homes are hurting land values.
In East Baltimore, the Baltimore Development Corp. wants to turn 2,000 largely vacant properties into a biotech park.
In New London, Conn., a cluster of homes will be bulldozed to make way for hotels and health clubs.
Such seizures of private property, while not new, are drawing new controversy.
The June 23 Supreme Court ruling in the case of Kelo v. City of New London has emboldened those who support the taking of private land for public use - even when local governments are doing so to foster private development. But the same decision is fueling a nationwide backlash - rippling into homeowner outrage and legislative action.
The ruling resonates for millions of Americans because the issue hits - literally - close to their homes. During the Fourth of July weekend, anti-Kelo activists accused the courts of betraying one of the founding principles of the republic, citizens' right to their property. A Houston Chronicle editorial went so far as to compare the decision to communist Chinese land-use policy.
Now state lawmakers from New York to Alaska are urging limits on when a "public use" justifies the seizure of land. Congress is also moving on the issue - starting with a House vote last week to bar federal transportation funds from being used to make improvements on lands seized for private development.
At least eight states - Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Montana, South Carolina and Washington - already forbid the use of eminent domain for economic development unless it is to eliminate blight. Other states either expressly allow private property to be taken for private economic purposes or have not spoken clearly to the question.
In the wake of the Kelo ruling, property-rights crusaders have responded through grass-roots activism and elected officials. Bills and amendments that would limit use of eminent domain were generated in state legislatures and Congress within days of the Supreme Court decision.
With the increasing recruitment on the part of big city mayors; like Kwame Kilpatrick in Detroit and Dennis Archer before him, homeowners in Detroit can tell you that eminent domain has always been ENCOURAGED if it meant DEVELOPMENT. Psssssssssssssssh!!! (for Sesa)
