Billie Holiday referring to 'black bodies swinging from the poplar trees'. A fascination with death and destruction cannot be attributed to one culture but certainly marks the traditions of one group in particular. In addition to the ultimate 'hanging' of a black man or woman, the attackers would often mutilate the genitals of black men. Dr. Frances Cress-Welsing explains the psychology behind this heinous behaviour in her work "Color Confrontation Theory" in her book "The Isis Papers". It is a part of the innate make-up of a living thing to know those things which threaten it's existence. Dr. Welsing theorizes that the realization of the caucasian's genetic inferiority has made them mindful and fear-filled of their genetic 'enemy' on the planet; that gene pool capable of eliminating the group.
